01

Why Adhesive & Sealant Manufacturers Choose ASAS Label

Labels that perform in the toughest jobsite conditions, from warehouse to application

High-Tack Adhesive Systems
01 / 04

High-Tack Adhesive Systems

Engineered for low surface energy plastics (PE/PP), permanent bonds of 20-30+ oz/inch peel strength on challenging surfaces.

02

Adhesion to Challenging Surfaces

Overcoming the unique labeling difficulties of adhesive and sealant containers

Problematic Surfaces

Polyethylene (PE) Tubes

Low surface energy, poor adhesive wetting

Polypropylene (PP) Cartridges

Non-polar surface, adhesive-resistant

Metal Foil Tubes

Smooth, non-porous surface with no mechanical grip

Textured HDPE

Uneven surface reduces contact area

Contaminated Surfaces

Mold release agents, oils, dust from manufacturing

Our Solution: High-Tack Adhesive Systems

Adhesive Technology

  • Aggressive acrylics formulated for low surface energy plastics
  • Rubber-based adhesives with high initial tack
  • Modified chemistry that wets-out difficult surfaces
  • Permanent bond: 20-30+ oz/inch peel strength

Material Selection

  • Conformable films wrap curved tubes and irregular shapes
  • Thin-gauge substrates follow surface contours
  • High-opacity films cover existing printing
  • Abrasion resistance for jobsite handling

Synthetic Paper

Job cards, instruction labels, specification sheets

  • Tear-proof (YUPO, Teslin) construction
  • Waterproof with no moisture absorption
  • Writeable surface accepts pen/marker
  • Indestructible in field conditions

Protective Coatings for Jobsite Abuse

Gloss Lamination

Enhanced durability, moisture protection, abrasion resistance, and chemical barrier—doubles label lifespan in harsh conditions.

Matte Lamination

Reduced glare for legibility in direct sunlight, professional industrial aesthetic, fingerprint resistant, writeable surface.

Specialty Coatings

UV-resistant varnish prevents fading, scratch-resistant coating protects against abrasion, oil- resistant coating repels contaminants.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

How do you get labels to stick to PE and PP tubes?

Those are low-surface-energy, adhesive-resistant surfaces. We use rubber-based high-tack adhesive systems with modified chemistry that wets out difficult surfaces, achieving initial tack of 8–12 N/25mm on PE/PP and a permanent bond of 20–30+ oz/inch peel strength.

Will labels hold on contaminated or textured surfaces?

Yes. Mould release agents, oils and manufacturing dust are exactly what these high-tack systems are specified for, and thin-gauge substrates follow surface contours on textured HDPE.

What temperature range do they cover?

From −40°C to +150°C, maintaining adhesion and legibility from warehouse storage through to jobsite conditions.

How do you fit application diagrams and multi-language content on a cartridge?

Multi-layer and booklet constructions carry technical specifications, application diagrams, multi-language content and GHS safety information in limited label space.
